Mendocino is a leather document holder to be carried in the hand or under the arm. Its size allows you to carry A4 documents and your laptop. It includes internal compartments to store personal items such as mobile phone, tablet, agenda or pens with order. It contains a leather pocket for cards. Mendocino is an alternative to the briefcase.
Our Mendocino document holder is handmade in Ubrique (Spain) - a town of artisans known for its quality since the 19th century - Ubrique is the place where many of the great luxury brands produce their leather products.
Instead of using the chrome dyeing process, Portegna's leather is dyed with a unique blend of natural dyes and colours from Spanish flowers and tree bark. The leather is treated with Spanish olive oil to nourish it, soften it and make it more robust.
Our process has two benefits over chrome dyeing, it is a natural looking leather that develops a unique "patina" over time. It improves with use and the passage of time and is certainly more sensitive to the environment.
